Over three years, MJF Global partnered with Child’s i Foundation to strengthen foster care and family-based care systems in Uganda. This report explores the impact, challenges and lessons that emerged from the partnership, highlighting Child’s i’s community-led approach to family strengthening, foster care, reunification and collaboration with government systems. It offers valuable insights into what it takes to build sustainable family care and prevent unnecessary family separation, while demonstrating how communities, families and government can work together to support children to grow up in safe and nurturing family environments.
